Chakras are the energy centers of the body; they are a part of the esoteric medieval era beliefs about physiology and psychic centers that emerged across East Indian traditions. They are located in the astral body along the spine, starting at the base of the spine and running upwards to the crown of the head. Chakras are the circular vortexes of energy that are placed in seven different points on the spinal column, and all the seven chakras are connected to the various organs and glands within the body.
The belief held that human life simultaneously exists in two parallel dimensions, one “physical body” (sthula sarira) and other “psychological, emotional, mind, non-physical” it is called the “subtle body” (sukshma sarira). This subtle body is energy, while the physical body is mass. The psyche or mind plane corresponds to and interacts with the body plane, and the belief holds that the body and the mind mutually affect each other. The subtle body consists of nadi (energy channels) connected by nodes of psychic energy called chakra. The Chakras are traditionally considered meditation aids, with the goal being to progress from lower chakras to the highest chakra blossoming in the crown of the head. Chakras have the loving responsibility of taking in, incorporating and emanating energy to keep us functioning at optimal levels.
The chakras are thought to vitalize the physical body and to be associated with interactions of a physical, emotional and mental nature. Breathing Deeply, when done with intention, can restore your chakras as well. Each inhales directs energy to your chakra, while each exhale allows awareness to settle into your chakras. This practice can open up your chakras and bring harmonic balance back to your mind, body, and soul. Many experience sensations of moving energy, deep relaxation, feelings of being supported and nurtured, or visions of images and colors. Some experience an emotional release such as tears, or they may develop insight into specific areas of their lives.
The crown chakra (Sahasrara) is the highest chakra, as it sits at the crown of the head and represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually. When you fully open your crown chakra, you’re able to access a higher consciousness. it controls inner and outer beauty, spiritual connection. Since this chakra is physically located on the head, blockages can manifest as headaches, issues with sight or concentration, and hearing problems. People who have trouble listening to reality (who seem to “know it all”) or who are not in touch with their intuition may also have a block. When open and in alignment, it’s thought that people will follow their intuition and be able to see the big picture. The crown chakra is linked to every other chakra (and therefore every organ in this system), and so it affects not just all of those organs, but also our brain and nervous system. It is considered the chakra of enlightenment and represents our connection to our life’s purpose and spirituality. Those with a blocked crown chakra may seem narrow-minded, skeptical, or stubborn. When this chakra is open, it is thought to help keep all the other chakras open and to bring the person bliss and enlightenment. The color associated with it is violet, the element is light and the crystal is amethyst.
To assist in bringing clarity & understanding to the mind, body and spirit, this blend has been slowly infused with healing plant allies of wildcrafted French lavender and olibanum resin. Each bottle contains amethyst crystal to amplify its benefits. Shake bottle well and mist onto the crown/top of the head as needed. Excellent Mantras for working with the crown eye chakra are “I know my own spiritual truth and I live in accordance with it.” or “I am constantly connected to my highest self.”; some folks find it helpful to close their eyes and repeat these affirming words out-loud as a part of the healing process.
As these are all energetic centers of the body that correspond to feelings, one of them may resonate with you right now, while a different one may resonate with you tomorrow. It’s likely that one resonates with you more than any others as a continuous problem, a chakra where you often deal with blocks. Other blockages may pop up every now and then, which is why we’ve created these mists unique to each chakra needing work.
