Harness the Sun Oil Blend

The sun is something we often take for granted, since it’s out there all the time; however, it has been a source of myth, magic and legend for thousands of years. The word solstice is derived from the Latin sol (“sun”) and sistere (“to stand still”), because at the solstices, the Sun’s declination appears to “stand still”; that is, the seasonal movement of the Sun’s daily path (as seen from Earth) pauses at a northern or southern limit before reversing direction.

The sun brings with it nourishment, warmth, and growth. In medicinal terms, the Sun could be considered the Great Restorative. We’ve created this oil blend with plant allies that make one feel warm and relaxed, protected, comforted and held. Conceived on Winter Solstice during a personal loss, this was concocted to help ease pain & deep heartache; to celebrate life & harness the energy and light of the Sun.

This oil blend can be used to anoint upon an altar, sprinkled on windowsills, diffused or added to spiritual baths.  Sun magic is a perfect mode for addressing the spiritual side of sadness, anxiety and nightmares.  It’s about honoring the knowledge that you need to discover about yourself, of honoring Nature and her endless cycles, the beauty of the darkness of both the world and yourself.
