Pumpkins are one of the more resilient fruit, finding ways to grow large and bulging among sparse soil and sharing nutrients along a connected vine that reaches into the ground to replenish itself. For this reason, pumpkins have become symbols of prosperity, growth and abundance. Cedar is also called arbor vitae (Latin, “tree of life”). With putka pods, the fruits of the plant glochidion ferdinandi, which resemble pumpkins!
