Hemlock Perfume ~ The Witches Garden

Long considered traditional medicines in both the New and Old Worlds, the plant allies of the Witches Garden perfume line are still used for sorcery and other occult practices. Four years in the making, this was birthed on a sacred expedition, under the glow of the Full Moon.

Hemlock (Conium Maculatum) is a plant that the Ancients were already familiar with; the fatal poison Socrates was condemned to drink. The Latin maculatum means spotted and refers to the purple-red stem markings, which – according to an old English legend – represent the brand put on Cain’s brow after he committed the first murder. Hemlock is eternally deadly, or is a proverb to express “you will cause my death.” Ancient Greeks used poison hemlock to execute criminals and other state prisoners; one of the most famous is Socrates. Associated with necromancers and witches, spells and rituals use poison hemlock for purifying ritual swords, knives, and magical tools, as well as for astral projection and hexing.
