Lovely and fragrant, lilacs appear between Beltane and the summer solstice. You’ll probably notice the distinct, heady scent whenever you’re near one. Lilacs have a flavour faintly reminiscent of citrus. Medicinally, they have been known to treat skin disorders, combat bacterial and fungal infections, prevent stomach disorders, and act as a fever reducer. Magically, lilacs are used for protection, the attract love and to mask the scent of death.
A strong antibacterial agent, lilac & lavender provide a calming effect that works as an anxiolytic (an anxiety reliever) and as a sedative, to increase relaxation and calm, and help bring about sleep. These powerful plant allies interact with the neurotransmitter GABA to help quiet the brain and nervous system activity, reducing agitation, anger, aggression, and restlessness.
Wildcrafted from an organic lavender farm on the Pacific northwest & our own personal lilac tree, these dark flowers have been infused in honey obtained from our local apiary. Slowly warmed and stirred, then left to solar infuse. This dark honey is slightly bitter with a floral, citrus taste, making it a lovely addition to teas, to sweeten foods or to eaten simply to boost the immune system.
Due to the short bloom time period, and to not over harvest our tree, this is available in small quantities for a limited time.
