Patchouli Herbal Tea
Love it or hate it, patchouli is a superb plant ally for an array of ailments!
The use of patchouli stretches way back to prehistoric times. Known to originate in Southeast Asia, the earliest documented records of its existence come from ancient Egypt.
This glorious member of the mint family, Pogostemon cablin’s properties include antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antifungal, aphrodisiac & sedative.
Leaves & stems used, patchouli tea has a strong, earthy taste that can take getting used to, but many find it pleasantly relaxing.
Associated with the root chakra, patchouli has been known to ground & bring contentment. It can cause the release of hormones dopamine & serotonin, which fight against anxiety, stress & depression, making it especially beneficial for insomnia due to an overactive mind.
Used to help soothe irritated skin & speed up the healing process, improve circulation & promote cell regeneration, help reduce fever & inflammation; an amazing source of fibre, important for maintaining gut health. Additionally, it contains vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, vitamin E, potassium & magnesium.

Add 1 tablespoon to hot water, allow to infuse for 10 minutes, up to 4x per day as needed.
