Patchouli has a rich, complex aroma that’s often described as earthy, musky, and woody; like damp earth after a heavy rain, a musky warm, slightly powdery scent that’s similar to vetiver. A dark, humid smell that evokes a color between brown and black with a slightly sweet aroma & a hint of spice.
This glorious member of the mint family, Pogostemon cablin’s properties include antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antifungal, aphrodisiac & sedative.
Our personal favorite aroma, this has been formulated with the highest quality perfume grade double distilled leaf & stem essential oil & vintage aged patchouli absolute.
Associated with the root chakra, patchouli has been known to ground & bring contentment. It can cause the release of hormones dopamine & serotonin, which fight against anxiety, stress & depression, making it especially beneficial for insomnia due to an overactive mind.
Throughout history, Patchouli has been used to treat sexual dysfunction, frigidity, erectile dysfunction & impotence by prompting the production of the sex hormones oestrogen & testosterone, helping to dispel sexual anxiety & a sluggish libido.
