Valerian has been treasured for centuries as one of the great herbs for the restless mind.
Valeriana officinalis has a long history in traditional herbalism for nervous tension, restlessness and sleeplessness. The essential oil captures the root’s remarkably potent aromatic character and is traditionally used to create a deeply restful atmosphere when the mind simply does not want to settle.
Diffuse before bed or add to a properly diluted topical preparation for evening use.
Its scent is famously unusual. Deep, earthy, musky and unmistakably valerian. Not necessarily a beautiful scent, but a wonderfully peculiar old herb that has earned its place in the apothecary.

I can really tell a difference on nights when I don’t use this. My sleep is uninterrupted and much more restful. Smells terrible, but works, if you will pardon the expression, like a dream!
