Vegan Scalp Scrub

Clean hair follicles are crucial to maintaining healthy hair and promoting hair growth. Daily use of a variety of hair products causes build-up, in addition to typical dead skin cells accumulating on the scalp, all of which adds up to clogged hair follicles, dull, greasy hair, and slower hair growth.

Remove the build-up of hair products, oil, and dead skin cells, clear clogged hair follicles with this scalp scrub and detox for healthy, shiny hair.

Moisturize and hydrate hair with coconut oil,  packed with antioxidants and vitamins for healthy hair, preventing frizzy hair. Coffee stimulates the hair roots by improving its structure and growth. Caffeine can thus restore hair growth and/or prevent hair loss, it makes the hair shaft stronger and smoother, making it easier to manage while giving it a natural sheen. Plantain sugar is a gentle natural exfoliant, buffing away buildup, dandruff, and dead skin cells. By exfoliating the scalp it unclogs follicles and boosts scalp circulation to stimulate hair growth. With apple cider vinegar, making hair clean and shiny, for dandruff and oily locks, lifting the impurities that cause scalp build up, and smoothing frizzy hair. Encourage blood flow to the scalp, balancing oil from the sebum glands and clearing clogged pores and stimulate hair follicles & the mind with rosemary, mint, birch & niaouli essential oils.

Apply one to two quarter-size amounts of scalp scrub to dry or damp hair. Using your fingertips, gently massage the scrub into your scalp in a circular motion. Massaging the scalp not only increases circulation but exfoliates dead skin cells, dirt, and oil that may be clogging your pores. Allow the scrub to detox your scalp for several minutes, rinse and cleanse with shampoo. And apply a conditioner as normal. Once a month is ideal for a normal to dry scalp. For oily hair or hair prone to becoming greasy apply twice a month. Regular application will help to ensure healthy, dandruff free, non-greasy hair. Should this scrub become dry in the jar, as can happen without harmful binding chemicals in natural products, simply add a touch of water and mix.
