Frankincense rises like a slow hymn through shadowed air, thick with repetition and prayer, softening into something almost mournful as it threads through the great body of the basilica, filling it with an enduring, trembling stillness.

Cedarwood rests in long worn pews, darkened by touch and time, their surfaces shaped by devotion and waiting, as if every hand that has rested there left a trace of longing pressed into the grain.

Sandalwood moves low and steady through the space, warm against the cold of stone, holding the vastness together in a quiet, aching warmth that feels carried rather than given.

Everything in the air seems touched by presence and absence at once, as though the building itself remembers every moment of surrender, every life bent in worship, every silence that followed.
