Vetiver Root Tea
CAD $20.00
Cool • Calm• Clarify
In the ‘Bhagavad Gita’, Krishna describes Vetiver as “I am the fragrance of the soil“. Vetiver is an extremely long root with a deeply gorgeous earth aroma & taste.
Vetiver has been used since time immemorial for a plethora of remedies including: anti-inflammatory, cooling, soothing, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, antioxidant, painful urination, ulcers, bad breath, purifying blood, acne, gut health, improving alertness & brain functions, relieving thirst, treating poisons & toxins, skin conditions, burning sensations & promoting the healing of wounds.
A well-known & one of our favourite plant ally sedatives, it has been used to help with nervous irritations, afflictions, convulsions, emotional outbursts such as anger, anxiety, mania, restlessness, nervousness, insomnia, emotional traumas and shock.
Spiritually, vetiver aids in grounding our energy, promoting a sense of connectedness. It’s an invitation to root down & anchor ourselves in the present & within the authentic self.
To create traditional cooling vetiver water, add 1tbsp to teapot or pitcher & let steep for at least 2 to 4 hours before drinking. To drink as traditional warm tea, add 1/2tsp per cup, cover in boiling water & let steep 15mins. The resulting tea is rich, fragrant, and has a slightly bitter taste. Add honey to either to sweeten.
Ingredients: pure Chrysopogon zizanioides root
4oz amber glass apothecary bottle
